She is also survived by her grandchildren:

Shawna Labberton, Casandra Zyski (David), Katrina Decato (Chris), Martin Mumford (Kristy Pearce), Jayden Porter and Seth Porter.

Her great-grandchildren include Jimmy, Kira, Lexi and Aaliyah.

• A nursing student scholarship, in recognition of the exceptional care she received from her caregivers.
